How does the plastic anchor work?
When a screw is installed into a plastic anchor it expands, exerting force against the material it is installed in. As with all expansion anchors, they are strongest when used in a solid material, such as concrete, however their strength is limited as plastic is can breakdown.
Installation Method:
1. Make pencil markings on the wall according to the hanging position on the back of the ornament to where you would like to place it.
2. Drill holes at the corresponding markings, then press the plastic anchor into the hole until it is flush with the surface. It is preferable that the hole be slightly smaller than the maximum width of the anchor so, if necessary, tap the anchor flush with a hammer. Caution here... if the hole is too small the anchor will collapse when you tap it in!
3. Insert the metal screw into the plastic anchor until the screw head is about 5mm away from the wall.
4. Place the back of the ornament onto the screw head and slowly shift down until the metal screws locks into the narrow section of the hanger.
